Do You.....?
Do you look down from Heaven?
Can you see your son?
Surely you knew before you passed
Your legacy lived on
Do you long to hold him?
Talk and caress his cheek
You know he is a gift
A gift you left for us to keep
When he died for those brief moments
Was it you that held him tight?
Did you see it was not time for him
He deserved a life filled with delight?
Did you hold him up in Heaven?
Kiss his cheek and caress his skin?
You gave him back to us....
Letting his life with us begin....
I thank you for this gift
I hope while you look down on him
You have the peace of mind
The peace you looked for down on earth
But were unable to find
If you should want to hold him
Do so in the still of Night
Leave him to us to raise
Just know he is truly an Angel of Delight
