Eh. my life seriously sucks man.
Yah. now that i've said that, i don't feel like explaining it.
Long time since i've updated... Went back to singapore for about 4 days in that time. I can't remember what i did. Oh damn it lah. i don't feel very funny now. Waste of one page. Then why the hell am i still typing? damn.
I'm now an editor for the SSA newsletter. Elections were today. It was a walkover. Brilliant innit? : ) smile smile. bleargh.
Okaayyy.... lets chheeeeeeerrrrr
up.
Well.
If i'd written this a few
days ago, you'd have read about nothing but my new fetish for Hats. That's
right... heheh. Fetish!! Blame it on Jason Kay, the front man for Jamiroquai.
God he is SO cute. And sexy. and an Incredible Dancer... and...
THE HATS!!!! He also has this rat-ish look which goes nicely with
my rodent complex*.
*Explanations not forthcoming.
But u can ask.
Am i my past? When u meet a whole bunch of new people, its so easy to say oh lets get to know each other. What is that anyway. You don't exchange bio/s about yourselves... You do try, subtly : "so what school were you from?". All the usual stereotypes.
Then u know what they're thinking about you, but what can you say? You don't know me, judge me not by my school, by what i wear, not even by the way im acting, because im not like this. Nope.
I am so many other things, and so many things to so many different people, Gosh its tiring.
I don't know what kind of person to be now. I don't know don't know don't know.
*BAWL*
Ahhhh.. i hate being judged.
I make lousy first impressions.
Jason Kay is freaking cute though isn't he. *mad grin*
I bet he makes fabulous first impressions. |
Hat Hat Hat.
This is the teapot-cover hat. Yes it's quite strange but
he just looks so funky* in this shot. * i usually hate this word. |
*cue in eerie music*
"doo doo doo dooo.. woooooo.. *tinkle tinkle*...*door slams*....BOO! hahahahahahaha!"
I think, maybe my life is one big cruel joke.
I bought a beret the other
day. Just before i flew back to s'pore i think. One of those floppy non-stiff
round ones. Anyhow, it was on sale: $10 down to $2.95. Irresistible. *grin*
Anyhow, i saw Clueless (love that movie) on tv last
night and i noticed they wore alot of berets, so i got inspired and decided
to wear mine too. Sigh. yeah, u know what's coming. i Don't know how to
wear a beret. I think maybe my head's the wrong shape. i look like a chic
black floppy satellite dish. Except maybe not chic. And not very dishy
either.
Maybe i'm the joke.
An Incongruous Joke. That's what i put in my ICQ info-thing. So apt.
Aiyah. im getting whiny.
Wanna hear my latest bad pun?
Here goes:
If you didn't get it, don't worry. Its so brilliant and subtle that it'll come to you eventually. If you did, well...hey don't hit me. stop that!. ow.
Oh wait... got another one. These are original by the way... ya. who else wld take credit for them. :)
* its that word again! aah!
Just a few songs i like at the moment. I could suggest
albums if you're looking for new music.
there's the UNKLE project... with the album Psyence
Fiction. Its a collaborative effort i think, with people like
Thom Yorke from Radiohead (yes darren, quick go get it!). I've heard some
of the songs and they're really good. You'll probably find it in the acid
jazz/trip hop shelves at HMV...
Korn is also good. I forgot the name of their
new album but its worth a listen. Someone gave me the impression it was
banned in singapore though. Mad. (but it isn't, it's really expensive though:
$37/$38 (import?) - thanks go to Kelly for that information...)
Some brilliant aussie bands include You Am I and Powderfinger. Also, Jebediah and Custard(!)... Regurgitator i've mentioned before.. who else.. hrm. Heh. oh yesh, I like Public Enemy's stuff too. i'm not sure how recent their last album was, but hip hop is cooool. heheheheheh. no they're not aussie, but they were here recently. and so was Sonic Youth. and no i didn't go to either. oh whell.
Don't i sound like such an amateur/loser... :) Anyhow... now i'm into club music too. im not sure if that's a genre in its own right (i wouldn't be surprised). I'm not sure exactly what it is either, but im talking about the type where people called DJ Swamp/Soup/Street/Sock rule at the turntables and do this amazing mixing. u know.. there's the base beat.. then the occasional "fbbethibbt" where s/he sticks fingers on the record and makes it go fbbethibbt... heheh. oh u get what i mean. if not who cares.
Beck's coming out with a new album! due Nov. 3rd. Those of you who can appreciate his genius and who still don't have a copy of Odelay, Go and BUY IT already! No regrets, assuredly. The new album's called Mutations and im just so happy he's making more music.
Since i'm on the topic of
music.. and it's so comfortable, i think i'll end on it. I have a reeaaallly
small collection of mp3s (see: no hdd space) but its a good one i think.
i really like all the songs i have. Anyway, i'm listing those i have now,
and maybe in future updates i'll update this. Meanwhile, if u were looking
for any of these songs, just mail/msg me and i'll transfer them over..
preferably via ICQ.
