But i'm actually fine with it. Know why...? I have this large cooler/fan thing in my room now. hehehh. Someone passed two of them to my dad some time last year and just now he caught me looking longingly at one of them and offered to let me have it in my room. Yes, my already far too overcrowded room. But floor space is nothing compared to Cooool air....ahhhhh...
So im happy now. No complaints about the weather. Of course i refuse to go out now. Its really really hot out there by the way. Baking. Like the grill of a barbecuing sun. And it gets worse. Well at least it isn't as bad here as in perth and darwin, where its about 40+'c...
However, the problem is i have classes. (sigh). I'm taking summer subjects,
in the hope of easing my study load for next year. If i didn't, i'd have
approximately 3 months of holiday.
Three Whole Months. Urgh. I don't know what i was thinking.
Anyhow, if you're interested, im doing two subjects, math 1B, and Java in comp 1B, which sounds like it could be interesting, ay? Of course, it's not going to be as easy as copying off all the script i can find i on the web, but it's definitely one of the more immediately relevant subjects i've ever taken. This being said with math in mind.
I hate math.
Anyway, i've been busy recently... busy with the SSA newsletter (its finally printed! and ready to send! haha.. but guess what, the addresses are a mess. - everything that can go wrong...)... busy with trying to keep cool... busy with the SSA webpage, with annoying xoom servers, annoying computing lecturers... Yeah. Especially them lecturers. Let me gripe at you for awhile. The last assignment i did for my computing1A subject was worth about 15% of my final grade, and took up about 75% of my time for 2 whole weeks, and guess what? i got a ZERO! NIL! and all because of a word wrap error(not an actual design error), which meant that the indentation was messed up and the program couldn't load for auto-marking. Now usually when this happens, the person-marker just fixes it and deducts like one mark from the total for his/her troubles, but this time they didn't even bother. Now allowing for the post-exam rush in marking and so on, its understandable that they wouldn't initially go to any trouble, but to release the results then go into hiding is very smart but soooo annoying. And then the only way to get to them is to email them, and so i did, along with some other similarly maligned friends, and no reply has come from them. not one. not after 2 weeks. URGH!
Zero! damn them. for all that work too. Damn them. Damn them until they reply.
Or actually, till monday. We get to check our results on the web, which is pretty cool, and they'll be out on monday. After that, there's nothing i can do.
Okay. So on to nicer things. Or relatively anyhow. I went to another paaaarrty! hahah! yeah.. it sounds like i have a life does it? Well, i think it must be a unique personal trait of mine to go to parties alot and still have no life. This one was held at Kings Cross, which is like the red/pink-neon light district of sydney. Sleazy but brightly lighted area. It was also held by Sydney Uni, which is another uni in this area (don't go there! come to UNSW!). So anyhow, it was Boring. I went with a friend, Naoko, and her flatmate Albert. We were in the same class last year so nothing new there... Naoko is this mature and pretty japanese babe with an amazing figure, and Albert was ... the coat hanger. heheh. We arrived at about 11pm, and the place was totally Empty. At that point i just thought i'd just made another one of my huge mistakes. You see, i found out about this party through a poster i happened to see in the city whilst shopping, and decided to go solely because of one of the DJs listed. Ah well. As it goes, i only knew the street it was on, and didn't actually know anyone going, what time it was, how much a ticket was, etc etc... So there might not even have been any party at all and what a fool i would have been.
However, we gave everything the benefit of the doubt and went out a walking so we could get back later when it would be full of people (hope hope). Yeah, so we walked along the sex strip of sydney and I got molested. Well almost. As it went, he was leaning towards me trying to...how do i not make this sound sexual.. well, trying to touch my tush. (Argh! that is possibly the worst way anyone could choose to say that). ANYWAY, i side-stepped him after my brain cell registered unnatural activity and so he got nothing. But after that, i reeally didn't feel good walking around. Like everyone looks at you funny.
We went into a pub. First time i've been in a pub. To drink. But i didn't drink. Beer doesn't smell/taste very good. Also, the pub had this fermenting-rancid-puke smell about it. I really don't understand how people can go there to socialise, unless they plan on picking up a bad stench along with the bar wench.
So on and so forth, we went back about midnight, and walking in through the door, guess who i passed? ... hahah... yeah.. quick! guess! ... im giving you a few more seconds... c'mon....
well, it was tony! i saw tony again! hahahah. Yeah. anyway he looked the same. How boring, but he recognised me too. In any case, he left early, so much for that. There's a severe lack of cute guys everywhere i go. Asian cute guys anyway (no lack of cute aussie hunks near any beach/pool/water-setting but they're not my type). So there wasn't anyone fun to look at in the party, and it was really hot, bad ventilation or something, etc etc... Also, i was wearing a skirt and i think from now on i shan't wear skirts to dance parties. Even if they've got slits up both sides. All in all, i had an alright time, the crowd finally turned up, but it wasn't fabulous. Instead, I'm looking forward to next year, particularly the february-march period, when uni session starts and all the parties happen! oh yeah! heheh. Also, i'll be organising one of them with the SSA, and that'll be fun too.
Flower Power!
Yeah. Its Cheeeesy. (Oh the fun!)
Also, meet Funky Stick Boy! Isn't he neat. :)

Chain Letters
Lately I've received
many e-mail "chain letters" from Induhviduals who
believe they will get
sick or die if the chain is broken. I have this
image of an Induhvidual
lighting up a cigarette, eating his bacon and
meatloaf sandwich, and
forwarding the chain letter in order to reduce his risk of illness.
To end the plague of chain e-mail, I recommend that all DNRC* members respond to chain e-mail with the message below. Eventually all of the offenders will die from psychosomatic illnesses.
Chain Letter Response:
"I recently received your chain letter. Over 1,000 people have sent
me chain letters, and every one of them has died within six months, probably
from the "Chain Letter Sender's Curse." You will probably die soon
if you experience any of the following symptoms: 1) Tiredness at
bedtime, 2) Hunger just before lunch, 3) Inability to
remember your license
plate number, or 4) Stupidity."
*(Dogbert's New Ruling Class)
Recently, another good friend of mine, Iswar, gave me a stuffed wombat. I don't know why he did that, i still owe him a birthday gift, but he did anyway, just before he left, saying it was the closest thing he could find to a hamster. I named it Womby. No objections there.
Oh geez. This guy i don't know just added me to his contact list, and
then sent me his address asking me to send him photos of myself.
Hah! YEah Right!
What idiots there. Ahah! inspiration for a new Blah - Idiots on ICQ.
(update: Its up now, do have a look at Blah
of the Day)
If you're really bored, you can listen to a realaudio of Pauline Pantsdown's 'Backdoor Man' ..song. Pauline Pantsdown is this guy.. a lecturer in some arts faculty in some uni here, who dresses up in drag as pauline hanson, and using recordings of her voice, mixes up some pretty cool songs. This is his first one, it was banned from the radio after ms. hanson made alot of noise, but you can listen to it here on realaudio. His latest one is called 'I Don't Like it', and i think its better than Backdoor Man, but i can't find it on realaudio. Both are good for a laugh though. :) You can find the lyrics and more at the Pauline Pantsdown Fan Club.
