Guess what? I went to another Party!!! heheheheh.
Yeah man. Which is why i'm writing this only..3 days after the last update. This is turning out to be some sort of newsletter on my life. :)
It was a Fabulous dance party: Cinta - Spring Love '98, and it was organised by this 'company' of filthy rich car-selling Indonesians. I think some of them are students, and i don't really know much about them, but u get the idea. Anyhow, its like HUGE, and the DJ was this guy called CHOZIE (CHOKIE? i forget..), who's apparently the Number One DJ in Asia. For sure man... Wah lau eh! Shiok!
When we got there, it was about midnight i think, the thing started at 10.30... Anyway, we almost left after seeing the queue. There was this Huge Mass of people just lining up outside, And they had Tickets (we didn't). So yeah... blah blah blah... Anyhow, we got in when one of my friends found this girl, who was the girlfriend of one of the [Cabin] people (the organisers), and surreptitiously filched the stamp and we got in! haha. I am now convinced only losers line up. Best is if you're invited and u don't have to pay, but duh.
Anyhow, it was incredible. It wasn't like the other party i wrote about, the SSA one, since the music was GOOD (proper House, not pseudo-retro/techno shit), and no one tried to chat me up (sigh). It was so much better, so soo much, but not as intimate i guess...(saving my skin)... Also, i think i'm getting better at being a party-goer. There were actually people gesticulating that i could dance, which is like (YES! YES!). But they were probably drunk. Or trying to tell me to suck their thumbs. Eh? no wait...that sounded weird.
As it so happens, This friend i was supposed to go
with chickened out to do her work (yes, shocking), and so I went with three
guys. Just friends, but Horny friends. The Whole night right, it was all
"Wah LAu, check out the Pink one! Wah Shiok man, [pant pant]" or...
"See that one? Ohmigod, [huddle together] yeah man.. she looks So good,
see her [muffled noises]...yeahhhhhh..
.. mAannnn.. [pant pant]"
Repulsive.
I suppose its normal(!) guy behaviour, but then i didn't expect the extent of it. Makes one wonder what they'd say about you behind your back, then reality strikes and u realise duh, whats there to say about me.
You can tell my ego got quite squashed.
Heheh. But its alright, just that Next time (and there will be many), i'll go with more girls.
I have a chocolate eclair with me now. It's very
pleasant.
Recommended Song of the week: Addicted to Bass by Josh Abrahams. (he's the guy who did that Sunscreen song for Baz Luhrmann.... but if you're in singapore, you probably don't know about that one, which is a pity.) Why this song? Well it's playing on the radio now. heheh. And it's got this fascinating bit where the singer goes 'owaho wah-o'. Which is pretty addictive. By the way, the song's about Bass..as in music, not the fish. heheheh. Just in case. |
Okay, maybe not that bad, but more like an unnecessary evil. No point in it. And funny after-taste. I'm still a kid lah. :) Or maybe i'm just genetically programmed to be a nerd.
Oh and since i mentioned nerds, I did this online Nerdity Purity Test thing...this particular one (out of many), i think was written by some people at MIT (heh), and my results were 57% nerd pure, meaning i'm 43% Nerd... Well.
According to other online purity tests, i'm also 43.0% sexually pure (57% corrupt), 72.1% geek pure (27.9% geek), and 81% nice.
Hrm. make of that what you will.

Well anyway, i left the party around 0430, and got home at about 5am. If my parents ask, i was home much earlier. :) but actually i think my parents are pretty cool about it. My mother just likes to make these accusatory noises i'd rather avoid.
The weather's also hotting up. Damn. The air's of a summerish consistency today. Warm and heavy. OH well.... this means its time for experimental clothing! haha. kidding. (more or less)... You see, i have this summer wardrobe (from singapore weather), and since i put on weight, some of the stuff doesn't fit anymore, or it still fits but looks different... all that rubbish. So now i end up wearing things in previously un-thought-of combinations. Sometimes i bet it all fails miserably, and sometimes i probably look okay, but hey, like, Style is Within, man...
Hyuks.
Oh remember the Edwin look-a-like? He was one of the three guys with me at the party last night... He is So Much cooler than edwin. For one, he's a naval officer, which beats being a good-for-nothing-quitter/lazy-bum-idiot. Also, he dresses better than most of the girls i know. And, he can Dance! very cool guy, not to mention sweet and considerate. No, im not raving about him, i am not in love with him (disclaimer), bUt... hrm. i don't know. I guess everything is just so relative. Who would've guessed edwin was such a dud.
So yep. That's about it for today, i guess. About
the political thing i mentioned in the last update, it was brought up in
the meeting, and it wasn't as bad as i envisaged, and i actually do like
the rest of the committee. However for some reason, it was voted that the
issue be carried on, and so it has yet to reach its conclusion. Just need
to waste a few more hours on superfluous activities and then maybe everyone'll
be happy. Duh huh.
Also, one more thing. For some strange reason, people
who've listened to that realaudio of Jamiroquai's Too
Young To Die in the previous update all thought it sucked. Ay?
It can't be. Maybe its the sound quality, because the version on the album
does sound alot better... and i guess... well. Maybe u need good speakers
or something. heheh. I still love it though, I suppose it helps that i
saw the (pretty cool) video, and i'm in love with (the supremely cool)
jason kay and his hats.
hat hat hat.
The next in the series of 'Me and
Louise' photos.
The recurring theme is quite unintentional actually, but i found some photo albums on my last trip back to s'pore, and was happy to scan these in. This is 1996 i think. Backstage
