A man up the street from me spends a lot of time building this wall. It runs along the road for the entire front of his property. The thing is that he takes stones from walls that were built in the mid 19th century to do it. Although I wish he wouldn't dismantle old artifacts, it's not a new practice. People have been using parts of previous construction ever since the second building was made. It could be said just as easily that he's building an archeological record of our time.
This is a view of it in the morning, after heavy rain.
