Red Herring members; Matthew Miller, Christopher McHugh & Liz Whitehead have a major involvement in the administration and development of Fabrica. Public art
A large number of public art projects are managed from Red Herring studios, ranging from important Civic Sculpture (Tony Hancock Memorial - Birmingham, Magna Carta Memorial - Runnymede) to % for art schemes (Brighton Seafront, Farnham, Ashford, Banbury, Sevenoaks) and projects as temporary as the Lord Mayors Show in London. These projects have included experimental collaborations (Burgess Hill) Red Herring artists are increasingly asked to advise on public art projects.
Exhibiting
Red Herrings are increasingly exhibiting and selling abroad (Moscow, Kiev, New Zealand, Los Angeles, München) as well as throughout Britain.
Educational
A large proportion of Red Herrings are engaged in educational activities, from traditional teaching in art colleges to running workshops and shadow schemes. Students are working in the artistsı studios as apprentices and increasingly Members of Red Herring are becoming the subjects of dissertations. There have also been several exciting initiatives to provide forums for critical debate amongst practitioners.
