Mt. Shuksan, Washington, on a rare, slightly-cloudy day in late August.
Another view of Mt. Shuksan. The day was a bit too windy for the reflection in the little mountain lake to come out. Gorgeous scenery, though!
An even rarer day up at Mt. Baker ski resorts...this one occuring, as it did, in January made it all the more special! Awoke one Saturday morning (biggest surprise of all..a sunny day, and I had it OFF!!!!!!!!) to sunlight in my window, so I jumped in my car (after the morning routine, of course) and drove up. And yes, a Ford Escort CAN make it up the snow-covered mountain roads, without snowchains/tires, as long as the driver is a certified psycho. *grin* Love this shot!
Mere pictures can't begin to show this thing. Its commonly referred to as the "Grand Canyon of Hawaii"....and VERY aptly named.
One of my favorite sunset spots on Oahu.
Black sand beach on Hawai'i...place where lava flows into sea.
