Standing on Georgia Avenue
Across the street from Howard University
Dressed in a dark suit
Cloaked in a dark woolen overcoat
Wearing dreadlocks wrapped in a dark knit cap
Repeatedly raising his right arm up and down in vain...
I guess he just needed the exercise.
Meanwhile,
Three or more cabs
Driven by cabbies -
Also Black like the man mentioned previously -
Drove by
Southbound on Georgia Avenue
Looking at the man
As he raised his right arm repeatedly up and down.
Shortly thereafter,
I saw the same man mentioned previously
Walking at a brisk pace
Southbound on Georgia Avenue
Across the street from Howard University
Clutching his brief case in his right hand -
I guess he just needed the exercise?

they subtracted time
the pope stole our time

In 1582 Pope Gregory stole our time
what did the pope do with the time
so people got confused by time
especially when morris kept the time at the top of the charts
but never on the cover of time
WHAT TIME IS IT?
because the times they are a changin'
tough times are looming on the horizon
while we just wasting time
and niggaz keep doing time
and people sleeping all the time
