This page serves to introduce visitors to artists who have been and maintain to be great influences on my self and my work. Most of these artists work mainly in the comic book industry, but as you will see, their skill transcends the limitations the term "comic book" brings with it. Indeed, although the following people may sometimes be referred to as 'illustrators,' their work stands on its own as fine art, and rightfully so. This list is small right now, but as time passes more and more will be added on, and I hope to introduce more visitors to this 'style' of art.

The links have now been updated! (finally...)

The Art of Dave Mckean

A wonderfully extensive and informational website concerning my most favorite of artists. I love the layout of this page.

The Vertigo Tarot Card Gallery

This site has scans of all of the Vertigo Tarot Cards. They are absolutely amazing to look at, beautiful work.

The Suprisingly Extensive Dave Mckean Page

This site has virtually everything the man has done: posters, cd covers, as well as regular artwork. The webdesign here is also very professional.

Original Kent Williams Art

In contrast to the former website, this page contains artwork intended for graphic novels and comic books, including the (now correctly-referred to) Marvel/Epic title Blood.

An Alex Ross/Kingdom Come Gallery

This website exhibits artwork mainly from the DC Comics Elseworlds title Kingdom Come, up to Alex Ross'most recent work, Uncle Sam, from DC Vertigo. It also has a set of galleries that contain pencil sketches and drawings of character designs used in Kingdom Come.

Suza Scalora

Suza Scalora--Color Therapy

Mythopoeia

The three web pages listed above concern a photographer I came upon browsing the net one day and that I'm now completely taken with. Scalora's work deals mainly with character portrayals throughout history, virtually recreating the subject matter themselves, highly theatrical, but modern. The work is beautiful and strong, and the availablilty of viewing it on the web partially inspired me to create my own website.
