Thoughts and rants:

HINT! If you're easily offended by rants on conservative, religious, or sheep-like communities, don't read on. It's not really that bad. I over exaggerate a little. It's not really a rant where I completely bash groups that do or don't deserve it out of the obvious reasons. This is my warning here. Don't flame me about it. You may make a civilized debate or comment on it but you will be ignored promptly if you flame me. Hence, a waste of your time.

-ok. new one as of today...um. 11/12/00
Alright. So my new thing to puzzle over is the existence of x-tian witches. My opinion, despite a few rather good arguments, is that these people are trying to straddle two bars in one leap, if that makes any sense. Here's the site if you want to read about it. It's a good argument backed by sources. Though, since it's open to interperetation, it's kinda ify when judging it. To sum up some of it, the author talks about how the Bible never really mentions that it's anti-witchcraft, only when interpereted, it's against various specific forms of divination such as augary, soothsaying, and acting as a medium, and a few pagan rituals such as blessing a child by fire. Other than that, the author claims that there is no mention that witchcraft can not be performed by x-tians. What is funny though, is that I have a book on hand that I checked out from my local library about modern 'witchcraft spells' (The Modern Witches Spellbook by Sarah Lyddon Morrison) as she so terms them. From her constant references to God and the 'devil' I take it she is one of such x-tian witches. The author of the aforementioned webtsite makes a good point that even performing love spells is black magic, since it involves manipulating the free will of others. However, contradicting that, the author of the book talks a lot about God and then lists various love spells, 'witchcraft spells' on making someone like you, and other ilk. I know not all x-tian witches are like that, but, to close this off, the two are still so contradictory. Being stuck between two worlds where the possibility of being ignored or shunned by both sides holds a fair potential since, even with the tolerance of pagans of other religions, many seem to dislike x-tians.
Side note: there are updates to this rant in the Random Thoughts section.

Hmm...well, today's thought/rant is directed towards stupid ass trends. Mainly, I'm just going to cover one that has really annoyed me. Trends involving witchcraft and spirituality. Why? Because they attract a bunch of stupid morons who want to do all the "spooky" black magic, love spells and cursings, et al. Most of them are doing it cause it's become trendy and having seen the movie, The Craft, I see as one of some things in society that set it off. So why else does it bother me? Many of these people don't take other people's religion seriously. They use it as some trend because of its spookiness and mysteriousness. That might be all the reasons, but it sums it up to an extent. I've seen my share of people like this and unfortunately they choose to remain ignorant on the topic on the most part. They may know a few things, but they won't try doing some hard-core research and actually figure out more of what they're messing with. Just something to use as an example for how it all appears to me: it's like having someone claiming they're Christian, but they don't really devote a part of their lives to God or follow the teachings of the Bible. Instead, they sit there and fish up a title that sounds like it'll make people either awe them or accept them more willingly. So...let's put an end to ignorance, shall we? Either you're serious about it or you're not and if you or someone you know isn't, just go find some other trend because you or that someone will eventually be filtered out by those who are serious and left to find what else has interested the flock of sheep that's called society.

But I suppose I should warn those who wish to take on titles "because they can" without backing it with truth. There are those in the midst of society where everyday is sheep season for them. I don't count myself as one of those, but they do exist in the world. Bearing bullets and guns of harsh words, mockery, and anything else they bring themselves to. I say this only to try saving you and others from the fate when people will begin to shove you aside, learn not to take you seriously, and perhaps let you end up as fodder because they know you're shitting them and you don't think you are. Who knows...

And so there are my thoughts and rantings... 1
