I am a Canadian artist who has worked figuratively
for many years using bisque and glazed clay as the primary medium.
The clay pieces are intended to look old, (visually they are cracked and
sometimes pieces are missing). They are textured, drawn upon, glaze
fired (usually to cone 6) and then attached to a backing; the surrounding
area is completed with oil and acrylic paint.
