DIGGITY
Presented here, for the first time in public after years of protracted
litigation in the copyright infringment case, Blind Boy Grunt vs. James
"No Neck" Damiano, is the lost Diggity lyric by Mr. blind boy
grunt. Written when he was barely a teenager, the following song reveals
the heartache and despair of a man twice blind boy's age at the time. So,
sit back and enjoy and remember blind's furry little friend. (In case you
were wondering, the case against Damiano has been settled for an undisclosed
amount. One of the settlement terms, however, was that grunt could give
Damiano a swift kick in his ass for stealing his song and send him on his
way.)

Fat dog wobblin', doin' nothin' to heel
Thin dog lookin' at his last meal
Me? Oh man, I'm searchin' every field
For diggity
Wise dog sleepin' under a tree in grass
Young dog sniffin' old dog's ass
Poor me lookin' through pet store glass
For diggity
Some puppy got put to sleep on New Year's Eve
Somebody said diggity was the next to leave
But he bit the veterinarian, who just didn't believe,
Diggity knew something was up his sleeve.
Searchin' high, searchin' low
Searchin' everywhere I know
Askin' the cops wherever I go
Have you seen diggity?
Blind man sittin', tears rollin' down face
Holdin' an empty leash, oh what a disgrace,
Searchin' and hopin' to find one trace,
Of diggity
I went to the wedding of Mary-lou
She said "I don't want nobody see me talkin' to you"
Said she could get killed if she told me what she knew
About diggity
I went down where the dog-catchers feed
I would've gone deeper, but there wasn't any need
Heard the tongues of poodles and the tongues of mutts
Wasn't any difference to me
Chilly wind bites like a crazy pit bull
House not guarded, mailman's cool
Gonna ask the mayor and the kids at school,
Have you seen diggity?
Drinkin' man listens to the barks he hears
In a dogless room full of milkbone tears
Lookin' into the lost forgotten years
For diggity
Met Princess Diana shopping for shoes
Said she'd give me information if I gave her my blues
She wanted my seven inch pumps, said she was amused
By diggity
Pawprints runnin' cross the wet cement
I sit here listening to Iris DeMent
I met the dogs of hell, one from the orient
In the pet-stores of despair
Got no dog to love, can't brush his coat
I'm on a rollin' river in a storm-tossed boat
Tryin' to read a ransom note somebody wrote
About diggity
Sick man lookin' for a million bucks
Lookin' at dollar signs to change his luck
He wants money, that heartless fuck,
For diggity
Blind man stranded without a seeing eye
Walking the subway platform, he's bound to die
He walk near walls and cries "why oh why,
Oh diggity"
Someone showed me a picture and I just laughed
Don't you know I can't decipher photographs
I went into the story, showed him my maps
Told him of my dog bone dreams
So many roads, so much at stake
So many dead ends, I'm at the edge of the lake
Sometimes I wonder what it's gonna take
To find diggity
I went down to drop the ransom, as I was told,
I stood and stood, it was getting cold
Nobody came, nobody showed
With my diggity
My search goes on, it never stops
I'll find that dog and feed him pork chops
We'll walk together, me and little Cyclops
With diggity
