Headband's Greatest Hits:
Live at the Shubra Palace

How did this recording you are holding get to you? Well it's a long and fascinating tale. These live recordings were originally made on a Wednesday night, Nov. 5, 1995. The tapes were then subsequently misplaced for three weeks. Thankfully, a janitor at the Shubra Palace uncovered them beneath a pile of rubbish. The existence of these unknown "lost tapes" was brought to the attention of executives at Brainscrape Productions. They acted quickly arranging to pick up the "lost tapes" whenever. Once the valuable tapes were secured, the low fidelity sound of the recordings became immediately apparent. Unfortunately, they were recorded on an outdated monophonic Jupiter model Pakistani reel to reel machine at 1 -7/8 i. p. s. (inches per second). Brainscrape immediately put seasoned Headband producer Brian Spector to the task of sonically cleaning up these "lost tapes". Over $12,050 and countless studio hours were spent painstakingly filtering out the unwanted background noise and hiss. Now we can finally present them to you: "Headband - Greatest Hits - Live at the Shubra Palace". So dig out the headphones, lean back, and get ready for Headband: raw and honest ? just the way you like 'em. Brain Scrape Productions
