Yorami and Ruby were created as part of my studies at Dvora Tzafrir's School of Puppetry and Drama.
Yorami is the first puppet I made. He's a stick puppet and his head is made of.. guess! 5% Cottage cheese plastic can and acrylan wool covered with a nylon stocking. He got his beauty spot when his head got a run. His lovely head is mounted on a stick covered with paper and he has a silky golden cloth for a gown.
Since he has 5% Cottage cheese pack for brains,
Yorami is pretty silly. He also resembles a potato! I love Yorami very
much. He is cute and naive and cute. It is nice to have someone silly to
talk to sometimes. I just cannot stand being surrounded by intellectuals
all the time.
Ruby is a hot red head table puppet. She has mineral
water bottle backbone and acrylan wool filling. Like Yorami, she too is
covered in nylon stocking. Unlike Yormai, she has no runs (knock on wood).
She has piercing green eyes and flexible joints and can do just about anything
but move her mouth. She attended a table puppets workshop at school which
included singing, line dancing and obstacle course.
It was brought to my attention that Yorami bares
a striking resemblance to ex Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak.
I wish to state this was not done on purpose. While Ehud Barak got us out of Lebanon, Yorami once got himself out of the car without my help. Ex prime minister Ehud Barak |
