FROM THE HEART

BEYOND THE CLOUDS

A sonnet

As clouds above yield dreary days below

While high above the sunlight fills the sky

So just beyond the stormy clouds we fly

To places never seen our spirits go.

The brilliance of your love thou doth bestow

As it carries passion's pleasures on a sigh

That speaks of secret answers owning why

The love that binds our hearts doth overflow.

Gone forever fear of hearts rejected,

For to lose such love would be a wretched curse,

So feel the heavenly rays from clouds reflected,

And drown me in your love, my heart immerse;

Two souls shall touch once more with warmth expected

And evoke the beauty of the universe.

TOUCH ME

Gently touch me

kissing my breath away,

show me the way

to heaven's door

holding my eyes

with yours.

Tenderly lead me

to burning bliss

where passion's fire

shines brightly

from smiling eyes,

..melting

...merging

....loving

to mercies' tender rest.

***********

Thinking of nights
in his arms
covered with droplets
of passion,
no regrets.

 A catcher of hearts
in a seeking game
tailored to his needs,
 he tinkered with her
fragile being.

Yet she saw him not as a user
but pressed the memory scent
of rose garden
in her haunting dreams.

For
all that he did
left fantasies flying her to
 heights of ecstasy;
Ready now
to play
for keeps.

*************

REGRETS

By haunting memories of you I'm driven,
The longing for your touch in me awoke
A desperate need at last to be forgiven
And ne'er again such feelings to provoke.

Defensiveness and anger made me blind
To how my words could cause you to retreat,
But now alone with open eyes and mind
I see the pain of words spoken in heat.

The echoes of sarcastic words now mock
Because of pain and bitterness I've tasted
With anxious heart I listen for your knock,
Regretting loss of treasured moments wasted.

Return my love, forgive, and I will thrive
Once more your gaze upon me will excite.
With you alone I feel I am alive,
In tenderness my senses you delight.
