In the Deep Heart's Core--Songs from the Poetry of W. B. Yeats Joseph Sobol and the Kiltartan Road Ensemble Classical Digital 1005; 16 tracks, 51'00". W. B. Yeats doesn't fare as well on CD as live. The recorded sound is somewhat dull, the mix doesn't always leave the words clear, and the performance (by a mix of the same and different musicians) was just not as good as we heard last weekend. I give this album a B-/C+ but recommend it for those with a particular love Yeats and poetry. Everyone else should see it live. (Click here for a review of the live performance.)
