My Thoughts

Tonight I will cry myself to sleep,
But I will be smiling, through the tears I weep.
The woman of my desire,
Has told me another lights her fire.
Me, of her quest I was aware,
But that didn’t stop my heart from showing I care.
So here I sit, with a smile on my face,
Recalling her charm, her style, her grace.
The touch of her hand, her smile, her pout,
And I must say, a body that just knocks me out.
She will always have a warm spot in me,
And I will always cherish her memory.
But I am one who knows how to let go,
I am truly happy for her and I told her so.
And although the tears are on my chin,
I am still very happy, to call her friend.
