Losing Leaves the Abusing to the Amusing

Poem I

"For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is
my brother and sister and mother."

(Matthew 12:50)

©Innocence Has Left

Innocence
has left me behind
the path she trailed
I feel so dense
Why hadn't I paid her mind?
friendship has failed

My time
can only tell me
if this is so
My crime
so easy to see
Why din't I know?

The mother
she always seemed
to be
The brother
I always dreamed
to be

She's gone
left at three
tonight
She's done
with my plea
all right

I'm here
left without
a child
It's clear
there's no doubt
I'm mild

'cause he didn't do a thing

Poem V

Then the king gave his ruling:
"Give the living baby to the first woman.
Do not kill him; she is his mother."

(I Kings 3:27)

©Run Away

Sunshine on a silver lake
reflections of the clouds and hills
Not one goose to make a wake
Only the wind which turns the mills

But then every cloud grew gray
And the calm was shattered by lightning
Pretty people lost the day
Run to their cabins-the sound's frightening

Some drop their children
who lie with tears lost in the rain
Like wolves to their den
who die with fears lost in the pain

Why would they run away?
as their babies cry for a mother's embrace
If they lived they would say
they hated their mothers, to their face

The waters will never grow still
Couldn't they have accepted their mistakes
Instead they had to run and to kill
This happens to be one of many lakes

Poem VI

At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone
deserted me. May it not be held against them.

(2 Timothy 4:16)

©Friendship-Failed

When lovers lie
in arms upset
Friendship-Failed
Why does death die
when love you get?

Friendship-Failed
When friends go too far
Friendship-Failed
Friends for a fallen star

Friendship-Failed
Friends farther from
Because of stardom
Wishing-work-for-wife
Ending every life
Time that you deny the day
Moment lost to never stay
You'll always lose and never win
Because you didn't let it begin
When friendship doesn't talk
Friendship will never walk
Friendship met in the mind
Friendship you'll never find

When you lose a friend
Friendship-Failed
And you're at an end

Poem XI

The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a
husband and wife, it is better not to marry."

(Matthew 19:10)

©Love's Apartheid

I thanked you for the kiss
I thanked you for the warm hug
Truly I'm lost in bliss
While you give your senseless shrug

You did it all for me
But you cannot accept a compliment
You just give your love free
While I see you as something heaven-sent

You're more than something wonderful
Because you've always given me heart
Through even the darkest days and dull
That love's enough to keep us apart

Adam the Divorced

Poem XV

But he refused to listen to her, and since he was
stronger than she, he raped her.

(2 Samuel 13:14)

©And it Happened Just Like That

Two lovers lie
they are just new at this
Later she'll cry
'cause it went past a kiss

LITTLE BOY-BLUE

"Take me," she said
and that's what she bid
"Break me," she said
and that's what I did

That's what she'll never admit
that I really would have quit
She was lying through her teeth,
when she said it was fine
There was no struggle beneath
the covers of the mind

This nightmare seems so very weird
that after a few good kisses
she said with deception, "Now was the time"
My life is my father's mirrored
though the day's of youth he misses
he still holds the belief he's paid his crime

Don't you make my mother suffer
To death with what has made her sad
Did I treat her any rougher?
Was love ever anything bad?

I wish I were what I once was
Life doesn't look very great
I'll never know what really does
Maybe next time I would wait

There's too much of this lust to keep me still
Just look at her body lying lovingly
I cradle her head-she rapes me of will
Can't anyone ever understand or see?

I'll never doubt that it would have been a sin
If I had given her any anguish
I didn't do it, but I can never win
She never asked of me any one wish

Now she's asking for her innocence
But the past is too dangerous and dense
Too high is that electrical fence
Nothing ever, really made any sense

SUBJECTED-SHE

Looking out the window, I can't deny
That something-nothing special took place
Just to speak of it causes me to cry
I've lost self-worth-the world lost my face

Lord, can anything, possibly be done?
Help me, oh Lord, to begin to find my way
Help me, especially to find the sun
He ignores me at school, has nothing to say

I guess there's no reason for words passed
I just thought that he could be forgiven
But I couldn't forgive him that fast
That wouldn't be till the last spike's driven

I once didn't take note of my heart
Since that time, I can't stop feeling it tug
Although it has been torn all apart
Beating for the day I can take a hug

You know how they all are
Wanting to cheer me to a some sort of joy
But I'm a fallen star
All they're being are like bugs that annoy
Can't they see I'm too far
To begin a friendship with any boy

COURTEOUS-COURT

You knew
He had not a clue
What you
wanted him to do

CONCLUSION TO THE ILLUSION

Court, wake up to the night
Don't lose anymore sight
Upon all that is right
You're suppose to shed light

Don't mind rainbows in the day
They'll never be there when you stir
You should have known not to stay
And you, you shouldn't have hurt her

I have told it all out flat
And it happened just like that
