All his days his work is pain and grief;
even at night his mind does not rest.
This too is meaningless.
(Ecclesiastes 2:23)
Don't mind the sun
She strokes me to sleep
When I stand in her
Don't mind the moon
He strokes me to wake
When I stand in him
Don't mind the stars
They stroke me to smile
When I stand in them
Don't mind the rainbow
It strokes me to cry
When I stand in it
Don't mind the Adam
He strokes me to silence
When I can't stand him
Adam the Mute
Poem II
Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
(Romans 1:32)
Teacher,
who leaves the mind behind
and just proves ripples by test
Heaven warrants your arrest
Drummer,
who dares not awake the snake
drumming to the beat of Pete Best
Heaven warrants your arrest
Young man,
dumb and bent and ignorant
because he's gone off west
Heaven warrants your arrest
Man,
never knew anything new
no work-always on the rest
Heaven warrants your arrest
Knight,
creeping like a mouse to a whore house
upon some pleasurable, evil quest
Heaven warrants your arrest
Woman,
lying lovely, skin's all you see
because pleasure is never dressed
Heaven warrants your arrest
Body,
curving a high road to the sky
curving voluptuous breast
Heaven warrants your arrest
Face,
reflected wretched and messed
face that I so much detest
Heaven warrants your arrest
Adam the Manister
Poem VI
Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.
(Proverbs 11:22)
Golden-shining locks
Laughter is always present as Beauty talks
No one ever mocks
Especially when long-legged Beauty walks
Lily-lift her golden head
Upon the stone grave of the dead
It doesn't matter Beauty grows from decay
Yet broken children can still laugh and play
I tell Beauty that
Beauty separates us all
My face, Beauty spat
Beauty-berates us all
Slumber must come very fast
when Beauty knows no pain to think
It's Beauty who's left aghast
when that other Beauty doesn't wink
Beauty ignores that golden sunshine
Not knowing it makes Beauty's skin so fare
But-Beauty-bides time by sipping wine
Until clouds-cushion and thin blankets-bare
I tell Beauty that
Beauty separates us all
My face, Beauty spat
Beauty-berates us all
But why should I be telling you
When you're probably a Beauty too
Adam the Sucker-For-Beauty
Poem VII
All the birds of the air settled on the fallen tree, and all the beasts of the field were among its branches.
(Ezekiel 31:13)
Tearing that type of person in two
But that would have only left me blue
Instead I make a fist,
which will pound upon the pillow
Then stand humiliated,
like the weeping of a willow
You can walk underneath me
But don't try to hug my trunk
For you know the tree can't see
Past all this lost and lonely junk
There was once a time I had the need
For you to hold me to you
But love was never a planted seed
Because nothing ever grew
Just take an axe and quickly cut me down
Might as well take a little time-today
So might I have finally-found the ground
And all the pesky birds might fly away
Adam the Tree-of-No-Knowledge
Poem IX
Why did you run off secretly and deceive me? Why didn't you tell me, so I could send you away with joy and singing to the music of tambourines and harps?
(Genesis 31:27)
The best things in life
Don't Last Forever
Musically, I'm enhanced towards the sun
Obviously, I have chanced all I've done
From the buying of the Beatles to Nirvana
Strum the electrifying guitar
With the raging tension of their stamina
How does it feel to be a star?
Not very good with a dark hood covering up your dreams
As the shining-sun-strolls by, like glistening of your streams
Of glistening tears
For-fitful-fears
Shattering mirrors
Shattering life
And all strife.
Kurt Cobain, you were so selfish
To never listen to love's wish
Instead of taking away everything from us
While you ride eternity on the suicidal bus
Adam the NeverMinded
