Seeking the American Dream, Esther's mother brought her as a little girl from beautiful Worms, Germany -- where Martin Luther posted his declaration on the Catholic church -- to Oakland, California, where crime runs amuck. In high school she learned to rebel against the establishment herself when she was treated horribly in a Christian private school. She only found peace in the angst of punk music, dying her beautiful blond hair into a black mo-hawk. Frequenting Berkeley, she made best friends with the girlfriend of the lead singer of the now, Rancid. She also used to see a lot of Green Day concerts...back in the day when you could actually hang out with them.
Also, caught up with the Rocky Horror Picture Show movement in Berkeley, Esther came to memorize all of the lines to the cult film. Naturally, Tim Curry became her hero and she couldn't pass up the oppurtunity to see him put on a conservative play for a bunch of stuff shirts in the Bay Area. After the play, Esther got to meet her hero, but was quite embarrassed doing so. Tim Curry had obviously put Rocky Horror behind him. Esther came to the play in her gothic Rocky Horror outfit, making it quite clear what she thought his best role was as the Transexual Transvestite in Rocky Horror and not Rooster in Annie. Esther was a minority that evening and was the only one there to represent the Rocky Horror movement, so she felt embarrassed meeting Tim Curry.
Esther went to the October 31, 1998 showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show and it was horrible. The art is truelly gone and it's not just an excuse for people to show up, and scream non-linear curses at the screen (no interaction with the film, whatsoever). More than just Esther have wized up to this fact and the theater has stopped showing it since the beginning of 1999.
The last remains of the R. H. P. S. movement was last recorded by Gregg, who played Tim Curry's role as the Transexual Transvestite, on this web site.
Esther's husband, Robert, is interested in cars (mainly his), music (Bowie, Blondie, Kiss, Bauhaus, Siouxsie), film (Das Boot, Taxi Driver, Apocalypse Now), and Medieval Manuscripts, among many other things.
Esther could have had a life as a model (photographs are coming soon!), but instead she chose the life of a pet supply manager...she's still young.
