There is a legend of a reclusive race of feral humanoids who live deep in the woods of Trumbull, CT, in the northern section of Tashua. They are called the Melonheads. Until recently, no pictures have ever been taken of a melonhead, and only a handful of people have ever seen one and lived.

One survivor describes a melonhead as "a man with a melon-shaped cranium with a moon-pie face, ears like tomato wedges, and okra for a nose. They are vicious and brutal killing machines, with no regard for anything living. For some reason, my ex-wife comes to mind."

Another witness recalls, "Definitely one of the most dangerous and insidious monsters that could possibly exist. They would probably eat their own children, if it weren't for that terrible smell."

Yet another eyewitness account: "To this day I still cringe in horror just thinking about it. No wait, that was the Broadway play, 'Cats'"

A photographer set out one day to find a melonhead. The photo was developed from a roll that was found inside a camera that is believed to be his. We presume this because it was found near the side of highway 25 next to his head.

You can see the photo here, but have a bucket and paper towel ready in case you need to vomit. 1
