Never forget to take the time to stop and look around you. There is beauty and wonder to be seen even on the gloomiest of days...

~THE FALL OF AUTUMN~

In an angry dust bowl, the final golden and ruby hues of fall dance and swirl across the barren landscape, revealing the earthen tones ~ rich browns, muddied grays.

Stilled rivers run deep, dark and cold.

The last shards of an orange globe splinter and fall away under the encroachment of a rich blanket of blue black night.

The air bites ~ rakes through the flesh ~ cutting deep with blind precision to the bone.

And then, as if to offer one last reprieve, a gentle silver light begins to spill forth ~ washing the barren landscape with its radiant glow ~ melting the jagged harshness, blending the stark and the bland ~ providing one final peaceful moment before the torrent of winter.
