~ My Love ~




I love you so very much.

I wish sometimes that my love was something tangible for you.

Perhaps a blanket, you could wrap around you to fend off a chill.

Or armour which you could don to protect you from that which would do you harm.

Sometimes I wish it was like soft, warm, summer grasses...inviting you to lay down and take in its sweetness.

Maybe it would be better if it were like a gentle rain that could wash all your worries away, and carry them to off to be swallowed up by the earth.

At times I wish my love were a candle to bring out the glitter I've seen in your eyes.

And other times I wish it was music that would stir your soul and make you want to jump to your feet and dance.

Truth is, I love you so very much...and I want it to be all of those things for you.

And when I close my eyes, I dream that it is.
