Tairrie's Hall Of Fame

My favourite films...

I'm not so sure if this list is complete, there are so many films I like but these you can't really go wrong in watching!

American Beauty - how can I describe it...American dream turned American nightmare...well, go and see it, a must-see definitely!!!
Batman Returns - Michelle Pfeiffer as catwoman!!!
Der Bewegte Mann - German film version of a cartoon by Ralf Koenig (gay cartoonist), absolutely hillarious!!
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure - Too stupid to be true, hardly ever fails to make me laugh when I'm well intoxicated
Carla's Song - very good film with Robert Carlisle, quiet, calm, moving and you can learn how to undress someone without using your hands...
The Crow - Yes, Brandon Lee, he he he!
The Crying Game - The famous throwing up scene and all, a very emotional film, I love it!
Desperado - Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek...need I say more?
Faster Pussycat, Kill! - Russ Meyer's trashy film about the VIOLENCE IN WOMEN...he he he, Tura Satana beating the shit out of some pretentous bastards
The Fifth Element - I love it, it's the right mixture of everything somehow.
The Fisher King - call it soppy but I always cry!!
Four Weddings And A Funeral - though I still don't understand why she married that old fogey in the first place
Fried Green Tomatoes - a classic! The secret's in the sauce...
From Dusk Till Dawn - Highly intellectual, nooot?! Salma Hayek's table dancing is worth trying at home...how does that work? Though it will never look as sexy and elegant it's at least good for a laugh
The Full Monty - I know it's been a commercial success but hey, I still liked it!
Groundhog Day - Had the feeling I was stuck in the same day once or twice in my life, too...
Interview With The Vampire - Never thought I could watch a film with Tom Cruise and NOT vomit...some spectacular scenes with Antonio Banderas and a candle...
In The Name Of The Father - Impressive!! Hard to believe it's a real story!
Killing Zoe - just cool!
Matrix - one of the best films I've seen in a while, loads of Special Effects and stuff but also a very good story touching some philosophical questions as well. I've even included it in one of my essays for uni (see: Uni work)
(Monty Python's) The Life Of Brian - no comment
My Beautiful Laundrette - a classic...
(The Adventures Of) Priscilla Queen Of The Desert - No matter how often I watch it, it always makes me laugh!!
Psycho - It's black and white, you hardly see anything really but it's damn scary!
Pulp Fiction - Any of you fuckin' pricks move and I'll shoot every motherfucking last one of you!...
The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Let's do the time warp again...
Rossini - German film about film biz and the rich and famous, rather cynical...starring Jan-Josef Liefers! (*yes!*)
Shallow Grave - With friends like these you don't need enemies...
Stadtgespraech - German film, yes, love is complicated!!
Star Wars Trilogy - May the force be with you!
Thelma And Louise - something for our girlie video nights...
The Torch Song Trilogy - makes you laugh and cry at the same time, very sensitively deals with the problems of a homosexual, his family, his lovers, his life...a must-see!
Trainspotting - It's shite being Scottish...
Withnail And I - You don't remember the Sixties? No worries, neither do they...
