An Open Letter to:
      The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society
      Jehovah's Witnesses
      My Family
      Friends and any concerned person
      wishing to know my reasoning in the
      Manner of my Disassociation from
      The Cult of Jehovah's Witnesses.


      
First, I apologize for my lack of eloquence in this matter,
       but not for the content.  For these words come from my heart
       after deep and sincere prayer to God for his guidance.

      
I, Lynn Marie Myers Starks Kennedy, am removing myself
       from any association and/or fellowship with
       the ORGANIZATION called the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
        I do not believe this is an Organization directed by God's Holy Spirit.
        But I believe it is an Organization started by a Man 
      who used Egyptology and the study of pryamids, as well as 
      selected scripture to further his own interpertaion of the Bible.

      
I again reiterate,
       I am removing myself from a MAN MADE ORGANIZATION,
       Set up by MEN, run by MEN and governed by MEN,
       who have set up their own rules and guidelines
       which have NO basis in the Bible.

      
Please show me where it says in the Bible where a person must 
      devote a set amount of hours in the field service, and 
      distribute said number of magazines, books and booklets.
        Matthew 28:19&20 "Go therefore and make disciples of people of
       all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
       and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them 
      to observe all the things I have commanded you.  And, look!
       I am with you all the days until the conclusion
       of the system of things." 
       It says to Make disciples and to baptize them, But nowhere
       does it say you have to put in 10 hours a month
       to be considered a good Christian.

      
James 2:26 "Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead,
       so also faith without works is dead."
      
Galatians 5:22-26 "On the other had, the fruitage of the spirit
       is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness,
       faith, mildness, selfcontrol. 
       Against such things there is no law."

      
Where does it say the works are knocking  on doors or leaving
       literature, putting in hours???? The Bible never says that,
       MEN DO!

      
Matthew 6:24 "No one can slave for two masters;
       for either he will hate the one and love the other,
       or he will stick to the one and despise the other.
        You cannot slave for God and for Riches."

      
I can no longer slave for two masters,
      I work for God alone thru his holy word the Bible.

      
1 John 4:1-3 "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression,
       but test the inspired expressions to see whether the originate with God,
       because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
        You gain the knowledge of the inspired expression from God by this:
        Every inspired expression that confesses Jesus Christ
       as having come in the flesh originates with God,
       but every inspired expression that does not confess Jesus
       does not originate with God.  Furthermore,
       this is the anti-christ's [inspired expression]
       which you have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world."  

      
So every date, everytime there has to be "New Light" means
       the original light did not originate with God,
       and that these "lights" have been tested by men of faith
       and proven false.

      
1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love,
       but perfect love throws fear outside,
       because fear exercises a restraint. 
       Indeed, he that is under fear
       has not been made perfect in love."

      
I am tired of living in fear
       the fear of displeasing MEN and their organization.

      
1 John 4:20 "If anyone makes the statement: 'I love God,'
       and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar.
        For he who does not love his brother,
       whom he has seen, cannot be loving God, 
      whom he has not seen."
      
verse 21 "AND THIS COMMANDMENT we have from him,
       that the one who loves God should be loving his brother also."

      
This is the commandment I live by,
       I love my brother and I love God. 
       I do not shun and I do not turn my back on any person.

      
I reject an organization, who teaches hatred and fear
       and who sets manmade goals above Gods.

      
I have accepted the love of God and the most wonderous gift
       of his Son's sacrifice and believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior 
      with my whole heart.

      
And I welcome all with love in my heart,
       for "If we continue loving one another,
       God remains in us and his love is made perfect in us." 
       1 John 4:12
