Born: 18 October 1973, Calcutta; only son of Agamani and Niranjan Ghosh of Ballygunge, Calcutta, grandson of the late Rai Sahib Ashutosh Ghosh of Dasora, Dacca, and lately of New Delhi and Simla (on his father's side); and a grandson by daughter of the late Sushil Kumar Basu Roy Chowdhury of the zamindari family of Sreefaltala, Khulna, Bengal;. Married (Dec 2001) to Priobrota, only daughter of Saswati and the late Barun Baksi of Ballygunge, Calcutta, grand-daughter of the late Nagendrabhusan Baksi, C.I.E., I.C.S. (Retd.), Barrister-at-Law, of Faridpore, and lately of Ranchi, Behar; one son.
