As a Nick Drake fan of many years standing, I feel I have to write to you as I have just read a really disturbing posting on the Nick Drake Admiration page (you can get to it thru the Iguana web site). The posting is called "Something a fan sent me", and
t includes a posting ascribed to you. The essence of the posting is that you, Scott Appel were close to death with some kind of heart complaint and decided to tell what you knew of Nick's death (apparently obtained from speaking to many of his friends). T
e posting then goes on to state that Nick died of a heroin overdose and this was covered up by his parents and the coroner. It describes at length Nick's heavy drug use, and rampant heterosexuality !!
If you did post this, then could you confirm it please. It doesn't make any difference to the enjoyment of the music, but I'm sure all of Nick's fans would like to see this issue confirmed or denied.
I realise that I may be making a bit of a fool of myself by posting this, but I for one would like to know the truth ...

Sorry you weren't part of the ND tribute concert at St. Ann's in November, as it could have used your presence. The new CD should more than make up for it.
