Last month Neneh Cherry went on stage at Detroits's Fox Theatre, opening for the Fine Younf Canibals on the first night of their long-awaited US Tur. The Cannibals had booked Neneh to open for htme every night of the tour, and there was much relief when her sassy, energised half-hour set galvanized 4,500 people out of their seats ans into a dancing mass rving in the aisles. The next day Nenh flew to Los Angeles where she completed a photo shoot for the Christmas edition of Vogue before going onto the MTV Awards ceremony, at which she was the honorary guest and a nominee for the hottest new act category. |
