And now the days have come and gone
How sweet the memories of cherished time
Swift as waters flowing song
The days of whence were yours and mine  

A man you are of love so deep
And years ago I knew it true
For happy is the child that sleeps
Within the fathered home of you  

And now the channeled breath of time
That brings of wiser thoughts bestowed
Has dawned as early morning rise
For you, this day, to know  

How fond a memory . . . Brothers days
Now warms the aged heart that grows
Of smiling soul that will not fade
From kindness you have showed  

I reminisce as savored wine
The finest moments, days we laughed
They sparkle in the depths of mind
In prayers of your behalf  

I only wish that course would bring
Our paths the closer as before
As winter brings the thoughts of Spring
And you to I . . . the stronger more  

Yet thankful, yes this I must be
To remember days of shining sun
That made you grow, the pleasant tree
Praise God two Brothers see as one  

I shall return to the daily grind
As the world forever turns away
From the strongest love that Brothers bind
That carry us into that day!
