~ Kendra's Heart ~

Kendra was only three years old when a blow straight to her heart set her wings into heaven . . . Instantly. Some wonder why God allows a child to leave us like this, but the parents of Kendra know by faith, that we question not of our Father’s will, they are on loan to us. We just find the meaning that one little flower of innocents can leave behind for us all to learn from. We’re all destine to suffer a blow to the heart in life’s battle. Stay close to Him who fashioned it, for tomorrow is promised to no one, but to He who calls us home. . . Let’s help each other find our way back home, back in our hearts again. May we all grow into the knowledge of our Heavenly Father, as this child’s eyes saw, and her words proclaimed this truth . . .

If you find yourself touched by the life of this one little flower's words she left behind, if your heart has ears to hear this now, that would be the peaceful flutter of her wings that has kissed the spirit of your soul . . .

How much more easier it is for Christ to enter the heart, . . .Once it has been broken . . .

‘Twas of a kindred heart I found
In Kendra’s treasured chest
When her loving Mom and Dad broke down
With tears from out their quest

That they may share a true life story
Of their flower of the field
Of her broken heart . . . His Glory
That of our Father willed

That she was taken from this world
With a blow that crushed her heart
In early bloom . . . This flower girl
Left wisdom to impart

A meaning of a teaching child
Her whisper, echoes still
To share within a field of wild
For another hand to till

Her innocents to us does speak
Through her Mommy’s memory
And now her gentle words will seek
To sing to every tree

She said, “I have two Daddies,
One in heaven” . . . These words are true,
While smiling at her Father,
. . . “The other one is you”

Through faith and pain, yet tears of sorrow
We ask still not of why
That a kindred heart did borrow
To write this in the sky

Amen

Michael

~ The Lend ~

“I’ll lend you for a little time,
A child of mine,” He said
“for you to love while she lives,
and mourn when she is dead.

It may be six or seven years,
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I come back,
Take care of her for Me?

She’ll bring her charms to gladden you,
And shall hear stay be brief,
You’ll have her lovely memories
As solace for your grief.

I cannot promise she will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down here
I want this child to learn.

I’ve looked this wide world over,
In my search for teachers true
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes,
I’ve selected you.

Now will you give her all your love,
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call,
To that her back again.

I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord,
Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief will run

We’ll shelter her with tenderness,
We’ll love her while we may;
And for happiness we’ve known,
Will ever grateful stay.

But shall the Angels call her
Much sooner than we planned,
We’ll brave the bitter grief that comes,
And try to understand!

A special thanks to Ken and Roseann for opening up their daughter’s treasure box and sharing with all of us who understand that the wings of healing hearts takes flight when we share each other’s burden . . .
