The word Shiloah is mentioned only once briefly in the Bible, chapter eight of the book of Isaiah. The Light of it’s meaning is rarely discussed, yet the repercussions of not accepting Shiloah are quit devastating, look and see. It is a river. This was the water flowing from the Gihon spring of Jerusalem to the Pool of Shiloam, channeled to flow into the City of David, (2Ch.32:30), and then God left him alone to test all that was in his heart. This water nourished The King’s Garden (Ne.3:15). It is a river of peace, that well spring of living water that must needs flow in through and out of all whom are to survive the times of life’s battlefield. In the days of past, God performed but shadows and types of the things to come. In John 9:7, we see that Jesus came and healed a blind man, asking him to wash in the Pool of Shiloam, that he may see. I found this teaching, gentle river, flowing softly in the heart and sweeter dreams of an innocent child. So the way I see it, this water was then in those days of old and is so now, and will forever be

Shiloah’s Peace
I think I feel a word in me
From tiring depths of this long day
From out this heart, please look and see
From out this soul I will convey
Perhaps I’ll dream that dream of dreams
And close my eyes into the night
To fly on rays of golden beams
That are Thy orbs of Spirit flight
Or maybe I shall dance alone
A wind of gentle breeze may blow
Beneath a moonlit path is shown
A peaceful watered heart to flow
Whateér it is that I may do
Whereér this place that I may go
With me, within my heart ‘tis you
An friend . . . a flower’s love, I know
Thou art Dear Jesus, great of love
To those who patiently so wait
For heaven’s raining from above
Praise God . . . He opened up this gate
Now flowing is this stream within
Oh thank you Jesus for this rest
Thy Glory shines before all men
Of childhood dreams, my soul is blessed
Peace you give of calm to reign
Within a vessel saved by love
This field of flowers shall remain
Thy gift of garden from above
The peace that dwells within Thy name
Throughout our days and starry nights
O King of Kings . . . O Lord of fame
Has brought Shiloah’s sweet delight
Peace you give . . . We shall proclaim
Amen
