SAN
DIEGO PEOPLE OF COLOR QUILT GUILD
The guild goal is to promote interest in
all forms of quilting and textile art. To provide a forum for the continuation
of the tradition of quilting as an art, as a method of recording history and
story telling within the community. It is our goal to bring quilting to the
attention of our community, endeavoring, as always, to pursue the recognition
of quilting as a true national art form. Quilting is an expressive medium,
which is not inferior to painting, sculpture or the dramatic arts, but equal to
them, in every way. Quilting has and will always be a part of our cultural
heritage. Our intent is to provide information and education to the members and
the community about this art form.
