After you started to pick that object up, you realized it was a snake, which had apparently been hidding under the shelves, and when the lights went out, crawled from its hidding place. Just as you went to drop it, the snake curled around your arm, and bit you on the underside of your wrist. You fall to the ground, and curl up in a ball. The muscles in your body tense up, and soon your breathing becomes labored. You can hear your heart beat slow. You lived long enough to see the lights come back on, and then everything went hazy, and you stopped breathing.
