Fishing Tales

1986 25 x 37" ~ 64 x 93.5 cm Acrylic Paint on Canvas

A lot of people have exciting fishing stories to tell you about the one that got away. "It was this big!"

I was riding to Canadian Tire on my bike, when something caught my eye, (yes this is another one of my self portraits). It had been raining hard the night before and there was a large puddle in the parking lot. As I rode alongside the puddle I could not help but notice on the other side, a young boy of perhaps eight or nine. He was holding a fishing rod and intently reeling in a fish (no longer among the living) that was hooked to the end of it. "And it was this big!"
