Merry Go Round

The Merry Go Round On Winter Hiatus

2005 23 x 47.75" ~ 58 x 121 cm Acrylic Paint on Canvas

I was having some fun putting the very peaceful, yet powerful predators, in such close proximity to their fun and frisky prey, yet not prey.

One of the days that I was particularly focused on the background for this painting, Timmins was covered in this amazingly beautiful ice fog. It was perfect, I really tried to absorb it, and then recreate it on the canvas.

When I was designing the Merry-go-round horses, I was trying to come up with a theme for each horse, and I decided to go along with horses that Margot has already found interesting enough to paint. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find the three horses on my web site. Two of them will be easy to find, one of them actually appears in two different pieces. The third will be more challenging, therefore I will give you a clue. Based on research, and to the best of my knowledge, it is accurate.
