Nonchalantly Walking the Dog

Nonchalantly Walking the Dog

1989 29.5 x 40.5" ~ 75 x 103 cm Acrylic Paint on Canvas

My first studio was in downtown Saint John, I use to walk home every day across an overpass. In the winter I was often walking home just as the sun was setting over a pulp mill Because of all the particulate matter in the air, the sunsets were really quite vibrant and beautiful. I can remember as a small child some of the grownups saying, "That's the smell of money."
