Sanibel Island, Florida
(Day 4 - Naples & More Beach Time)
Today we got up early and decided to take a day trip to Naples.  It was about an hour south of us, and we drove through Ft. Myers on the way down.  Ft. Myers has some gorgeous palm trees lining the roads, but other than that and the Edison Estate, it's a pretty normal town.

When we got to Naples - we decided to check out the Ritz Carlton - it's supposed to be one of the nicest ones in the chain.  It was a stunning hotel, on a beautiful stretch of beach, and if I had 400 bucks to blow per night, I would have stayed there too!  Some photos from the Ritz Hotel:

We walked around the Naples hotel area and beach for awhile, then decided to try to find the Tommy Bahamas store and restaurant and see if we could manage to get in for lunch!  Luckily, we only had to wait about 15-20 minutes to eat - we decided to sit at the bar because it was less of a wait then a table was.  The food here was truly wonderful!  This would definetly deserve a return trip in my opinion.  When we walked back to our car - we saw several very neat cars parked along the main road, including one bright red, shiny and brand new Ferrari.  Naples was a very pretty town...

On the way back we stopped at Lover's Key State Park for a swim and to check out the area.  It was a very quiet park, and a nice swim.  The only thing you have to be on the lookout for are those red fire ants.  They were quite abundant further up the beach.  We found many prettier shells here than on Captiva.  The park is a very nice stopping point, about 20 minutes south of Sanibel.

Then we headed back home to the hotel for the rest of the night.
