My rainbow lost it's color...
My rainbow lost it's color
On a dark, dark day
I tried to bring it back
but, it had gone away.
For many Years
All my rainbows were gray
No color they had
Neither night or day.
I tried and I tried
To color it again
But nothing would work
Crayon, paint or pen.
One day she came down
On a Stone oh, so cold
A shimmer, a spark
And lo and behold.
The colors were back
Brighter than ever
She looked all around
"oh, how clever"
The Stone it did soften
And came right apart
The rainbow and the Stone
Exchanged their hearts
So now she will sit
At the feet of the Stone
And always keep him
From being alone
I reach out and touch
My dear rainbows face
And say "yes I know
You must keep your place.
For he is a sweet man
Though sick frail and old.
I hear you love each other
So I am told.
So stay with him rainbow
Till it come to the end
Then come back to the sky,
His heart to mend.
