Exactly What To Do

It’s these kind of situations that make me question my soul
When deep within my heart I find what I didn’t know
The good part about it is that I know where to turn
The bad part about it is the part of me that burns
I’ve made so many mistakes that are hard to get past
And all I want is for the last mistake to be the last
So all I can do is surrender it all
And rely on the Lord to break the hard fall
I pray for guidance, then dry the tears so I can look
At the words that are written for me in God’s Book
And the only thing that remains when everything is lost
Is the blood that was shed by Christ on the cross
It’s difficult the trials that I have to live through
But at least this time I know exactly what to do
