Long, long ago, there were cartoons. Hanna-Barbera cartoons. And they were good. Well, some of them anyway. Some were so good, that their image lingers on to this very day. Others were very, very bad, and rightly deserved to be forgotten.

One such forgettable cartoon was "The Impossibles," a light-hearted animated sitcom about a rock band who could transform themselves into superheroes. Yes, and the hilarity ensued.

However, this cartoon soon passed into obscurity and many people let its characters fall from their minds, the space now occupied by advertising jingles. Many people allowed this to happen --- many, but not I, the mighty mighty Lopex, whose brain is vacuous enough to fit both cartoon characters AND advertising jingles.

And then one day, it occurred to me as if in a dream. Well OK, actually it was a picture Marty showed me, but the connection was made nonetheless! My realization was this ...

John Squire IS MultiMan!

Ah, you doubt me. But I have proof! Yes, proof, dangnabit. Behold!

But the similarities extend beyond the mere physical.

  1. The Impossibles were a rock band. The Seahorses are a rock band.

  2. The Impossibles had no drummer. The Seahorses have no drummer.

  3. MultiMan was a popstar who turned into a superhero when the need arose. John Squire is a popstar except for when the need for crime arises (attacking people with spray paint, etc.)

  4. The Seahorses are an anagram of "He Hates Roses." The Impossibles are an anagram of "He Bit Moses' Lips."
And these are just the tip of the iceberg. Just you wait until I get a full eight hours sleep, then you'll really see some exposin' goin' on.

In the meantime, I know the truth is out there. If you discover more reasons why John Squire is the personification of MultiMan, please notify us. The public must know!
