Anymore

by Karen M. Raymond-Hart

pounding big-hair hard-rock backbeat
narcissist's angst
flaming jabberwocky mind
whispering Mnemosyne, with razors
eager to be freelance
en route

I remember her
but she's not here anymore

first true love's blush
vows forever
future maternity
hopeful destiny
sunny-bright
as the newly life-sized

I remember her
but she's not here anymore

stalwart buttress
broken-old
shattered vows
sundered, sole
vacant future
at almost a score and fifteen

I wish I weren't here,
anymore

(sigh)
the Raven-voice never dies
