Here are few of my paintings.
I like to paint mostly in oils although I've been known to do
some acrylics and watercolors. I guess it is not hard to tell
that I like to paint in representational style. I like old Dutch
masters, tromp l'oeil, and magic realism . . . . but I also like
naive art, minimalism and other contemporary art (or is it non-art?).
Go figure.
I like oil paints because
I think they give me more control over the painting than the
other mediums. But I don't really like that oils take so long
to dry. I guess I'd better try alkyds. Acrylics dry too fast
for me. I feel that to do watercolors right I need to be a planner
first. For me that is a definite drawback. |
