Heath One Heath, One
Innumerate Bounds:
(In real spoken, dictionary English, Innumerable Bonds):

So many years ago, I saw your face
And recognizing it again,
The moons all took their place.
In smiles I saw you, dreams enfold
Their unsound noble grace.
In looks unspoken, life’s fields broken
Barren to the chase.
The foxes yield, the hounds they chase
Howling before the Moon.
I saw you there, before despair
Came roaming round my room.
Your soft, sly smile, to me a while
Came round to ease my gloom.
And now it seems you fill my dreams
With roses blooming soon.
How could it be, you standing there,
In blue and eyes in grey….
A mystic there, in eyes that stare
With nothing saying soon.
I build my walls, I mend my gates,
I stand here gathering mud.
Awaiting fate, that tempts our wait,
To do something too soon.
A wall here stands, with broken hands,
But mending all the time,
And standing here, mid red-dawn skies,
Awaiting something glad.
I see you there, on my horizon,
Smiling, those grey eyes.
And sudden here, your smile surprise,
Seems like a new sunrise.
A dying day awaits the sun,
To hold her in his arms,
And waits again, til morning’s end
To wake in golden charms.
Though life goes by, in small, small ways,
We all long to ascend,
To love’s beguine,
To love’s blue arms
And live our sweetest end.
