In Sunlight Rising:: September, Rising much too soon Your face was lit by new morning And nothing I was but drawn to you. What lifetimes lie collapsed beneath your arms. What new life lies beneath those sleeping charms. I claim to know nothing at all, but seeing you asleep. Wakes things in me I knew not of, some things there lying deep. Walls we so build, but must we frame them with so deep a glue. That we cannot saw through the mill of life’s deep greatest blues. In eyes alight, I saw your flight, and found you in my arms Grey eyes mystique, so round we keep, Our secrets in our arms. What happiness do you keep there, In frame so tall and deep, I hope you know, we all must sow Our tears to sow our wheat. -Kimberly N. Hunt 9-21-03
