I got a bruise on my knee today
Looks just like a heart
Angry & red, speckled & blue
How typical...
Out of the bath, all warm and relaxed
SMASH!
SHIT!
A careless move-
Blood running smooth
Fills the broken veins
It looks just like a heart
The size of a nickle
How typical...
I bruise so easily
Least this one's on the outside
Screaming red, glaring blue
A heart bruise
How funny-I should have a
Bruise like a heart
I stare at it with wonder
Like its some mark
Bestowed on a chosen one-
A victim
It'll fade in time
But I'll kind of miss it
I want it tatooed 
So I can remember its oddity
I don't want it to fade
It should stay
A reminder of
Carelessness and pain
I want it on my forehead
"Here I am-a bruised heart"
