Each New Dawn

by Shea White

The soft rose petals caress her cheek,
She opens her eyes, her fingers brush his cheek.
She thinks, "If I ever lose him, I'll go wild!
If something ever goes wrong I wont consider it mild."
If something ever happens, I will never go a stray,
No matter what happens, true I will stay.
As each day goes on, my love grows strong.
My love is stronger than the ocean is deep.
My Love, my love is strong enough to make a grown man weep.
In his arms she feels so safe,
With him around the world is a better place.
What would she do if one day he was gone?
Could she start fresh like a new fawn?
As she looks at him her eyes fill with tears,
Was it him she had been looking for all these years?
She had always looked in all the wrong places,
Tried to find love on all the wrong faces.
She just wishes she found him long ago.
Now that she had him, she wasn't letting him go!
That was 50 years ago today,
Sill their love blows everything else away.
Their love will always go on,
Like the freshness of each new dawn.
