turtles, just turtles stood guard over the salient without care for yellowing vestiges of sun's rays. this ebullient star, boiling humus, making life in the pond, a tea, a broth, thickening, as frogs croaked on cricket's chirps, oh cicada, bellow truth! harbinger of summer's nearing behemoth warmth, turtles, just turtles violently retracting the precarious necks, averting danger's threat. these turtles, just turtles evolved to survive and challenge environment through turning inward. internal salvation! supernatural inner strength! a pebble taps the shell, bounding off the armor, of rainbow hue and coloration; unaffected, stoic, protecting. their nose gasps for air, with just enough, they dive underwater, and stay on the bottom again, temporarily.
