Draco's Glaze Recipe Notebook

Ok. So, here we go again!!! Just useless information to start this off, I had started this site off once many years ago...at least 3-5...and it had existed as meaningless crap. Now, I do have something worthwhile to put here, but unless you happen to be involved with ceramic work, this page will still be filled with meaningless crap.

Next, I realize I do have a habit of over-explaining things. If you feel that there's just a bit too much text about a particular galze/piece, please do tell me! I'm trying to work on shortening things...here's my e-mail if you care to share: arctic_phoenix_studios@hotmail.com. Also, yes I do realize that this site appears to be rather devoid of pictoral objects, but they're there. Just all to help speed up loading times...

So, my focus will be on glazes and working on to fill this site with is a mass of glaze recipes, pics of what the ones I experiment with turn out like, and maybe the occassional piece of ceramics info unrelated to glazes. In my wanderings over the net while looking for glaze recipes, I find that often the glazes either lack description or lack proper description and more often than not, also lack an image to depict the ones the author has tested out. I can understand how putting an image to every single glaze can be an issue when there are a few dozen recipes listed, but when there aren't all that many, it's nice to have pictures or at least good descriptions!!! Anyhow, let's get going, shall we? I hope those of you ceramic artists who come here will find this project in the making a useful resource as it develops!

Glazes from The Potter's Complete Book of Clay and Glazes by James Chappell.

Note: Page two will be here but it's in the process of being rehashed...

Page 3
My collection of glaze tests. These include ones I've found either in a book or online and mixed up to see what it looked like or else they're mix and matches of studio glazes.

The Gallery- This is a collection of all the images on this site accompanied by descriptions and explanations. The page is text intesive because the images are linked to save loading time.

As time goes by, I will be announcing new additions here. The most recent will be at the top.

6/12/01- YAY! I did some more work. Um. Even for the lack of content at this point, I decided to add frames to the site so there's no need for the back and forth stuff. Hopefully the day will come when I have enough relevant pages to list that the frames will come in handy. Also, I've added in the Gallery section...

6/2/01- Another revamp of this site to its current state, for glaze recipes. First mass of glaze recipes with some pics loaded.

All right, shameless advertising time! Go visit my friend's site! He makes neat techno. Go on, click the link. You know you wanna. Visit Master Control.
