Trellis Trompe l'oeil

Acrylic paint and varnish on Cement

This trompe l'oeil mural was designed to give the feeling of a real trellis. The shadows were painted to portray the way the light would fall if the trellis were made of real wood. The air ducts where this is painted was designed to provide air circulation in the 1600's. Transforming the dull grey Parisien concrete into a bright usable garden space has added value to this Bastille neighborhood apartment.
