I've been building recumbent bikes for a while now as a hobby. All parts come from thrift stores, dumpsters, curbside, or my favorite place, the Sun Prairie reCYCLEing center. Click on pics to enlarge.

The aborted trike. My first attempt, I lost confidence in the front end geometry.

"Frankenbent" I learned how to braze on this one - it was ugly! Probably 10 pounds of brazing rods!

Here I learned how to mig weld. Nicer looking welds, but a hack design.

The "8500". With an 85" wheel base, this baby rides smooth! Main tube came from a kids bunk bed.

I'm currently working on a fully suspended "6700" for Laurie (wife). Pics to come.
